Are you playing as a Jedi Knight in Star Wars: The Old Republic and want to learn how to properly build for PVP?

Well if you are looking for the perfect guide, you have come to the right place! I am a fanatic SWTOR player and have been playing this MMORPG since beta. I consider myself to be a solid SWTOR player and have helped other people create viable builds through different forums and websites.

Below, I have outlined multiple builds below that I have successfully used to dominate other players since beta for PVP. So, if you are looking for a nice guide to help you create a stronger Jedi Knight (Sentinel or Guardian) in SWTOR, I will show you how to properly build your talents, skills and stats.

SWTOR Jedi Knight PVP Builds

PVP with the Jedi Knight can be extremely devastating to your opponents if you build your advanced classes properly combined with the right PVP gear.

However keep in mind that doing well in PVP does not 100% rely on how you build your character, although it helps a lot. Doing well in PVP comes down to experience, hot keys, reaction times, strategies and much more.

If you want to learn how to PVP properly in Star Wars: The Old Republic, you will have to look out for another guide (since this is a Jedi Knight build guide). As for this guide goes, I will stick with how to build your Jedi Sentinel or Jedi Guardian for PVP warzone battles.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Sentinel PVP Build

The Jedi Sentinel is one of the best melee classes in the game.

For PVP, I have spec'd into Combat instead of Watchman. The reason I put my points into Combat because I want more burst damage, which is more viable for PvP rather than Watchman, which is for more of a PVE scenario like leveling, questing and raiding.

Combat also allows you to switch between targets quickly and put more pressure on them due to the quick burst, which is really good for group fights. At level 50, my PVP Jedi Sentinel build is 0/37/4.

I have been using this build a lot and I find it to be one of the best and optimal PVP builds for my Jedi Knight Sentinel. Below is a screenshot of my completed skill tree at level 50.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Guardian PVP Build

Depending on how you would like to play your Jedi Knight Guardian, you can either put more points into Defense for more of a tank on the warzone or Vigilance if you want to do more damage. At level 50, my PVP build for my Jedi Guardian is 0/37/4.

This build may seem strange to you, but my goal was to use Soresu Form, which will allow me to use Guard on my teammate, while still enabling me to go around the warzone dealing heavy damage and pressure to healers and get kills.

You might ask how is the sustainability in the warzone from this build since I do not have much points in Defense, but you will be surprised at how sustainable your Jedi Guardian can be with Unremitting, Protector and Commanding Awe alone.

From my screenshot, You may have noticed that I did not have any points in Shien and you might wonder if you will lose out on defense and guard. However, from my experience, if you are used to Force Management, you will do perfectly fine in PVP with your Jedi Knight Guardian.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Tank Build

Below, I have outlined multiple builds below that I have successfully used to dominate other players since beta for tanking. So, if you are looking for a nice guide to help you create a stronger Jedi Knight (Sentinel or Guardian) in SWTOR, I will show you how to properly build your talents, skills and stats.

As the Jedi Knight Sentinel excelled in DPS and damage output, the Jedi Knight Guardian is exceptional at tanking and taking heavy damage from incoming enemies. In fact, from my experience from playing Star Wars: The Old Republic since beta, I noticed that the Jedi Sentinel cannot tank at all.

With that said, I will not be doing guide on how to tank with the Jedi Knight Sentinel since I find it inefficient and nearly impossible to take heavy damage with. The Jedi Guardian tank build that I created had the majority of points in Defense and the rest of the points in Vigilance. My build at level 50 was 33/8/0.

The reason for this is because I wanted utility and control against single and multiple targets in quests and Flashpoints. Although this build for my Jedi Guardian was not a pure tank build, I was still able to take a huge amount of damage while being a threat to my opponents as well.

SWTOR Jedi Knight DPS Builds

Are you playing as a Jedi Knight in Star Wars: The Old Republic and want to learn how to properly build for leveling and PVE?

Below, I have outlined multiple builds below that I have successfully used to dominate other players since beta for leveling and PVE. So, if you are looking for a nice guide to help you create a stronger Jedi Knight (Sentinel or Guardian) in SWTOR, I will show you how to properly build your talents, skills and stats.

Building a DPS character will allow you to have high damage output by attacking quickly and have lots of maneuverability to defeat your foes. Typically, if you are going for the DPS build, you will want to take on a small group of enemies or ideally one vs one since you will not have much defense for sustainability.

DPS builds for the Jedi Knight can work for both Sentinel and Guardian. However, it is obvious that the Sentinel is much better at DPS than the Jedi Guardian because this advanced class is mainly for tanking.

Below are DPS builds that I would recommend for both the Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian. Modify them as you wish to suit your play style and personality.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Sentinel DPS Build

The Jedi Knight Sentinel advanced class is a pure DPS class. They depend on quick attacks and high maneuverability to increase their damage output per second to kill all enemies. To create a pure DPS build for your Jedi Sentinel, what you would want to do is to focus on speed, quick attack and cool down talents as you level.

You may want to put some points into defense talents for more sustainability on the battlefield, however I went with pure DPS build and it worked quite well for me. The DPS build that I created for my Jedi Knight Sentinel was 3/34/4. Below is a link of my skill/talent tree at level 50 for DPS.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Guardian DPS Build

The Jedi Knight Guardian is usually built with tank talents, however if you want to make a pure DPS build for this advanced class it is possible as well. However, keep in mind that pure DPS built Jedi Guardian at end game is not very good at taking over raid spots and PVE in my opinion.

To create a pure DPS Jedi Knight Guardian, you will need to put a majority of points into Vigilance and the rest into Defense and Focus. For my DPS Guardian, I opted for 3/33/4 at level 50. Although it wasn't as good as my Jedi Sentinel in terms of burst damage, it was still fairly strong in terms of DPS.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Leveling and PVE Builds

Are you playing as a Jedi Knight in Star Wars: The Old Republic and want to learn how to properly build for leveling and PVE?

Knowing how build your Jedi Knight properly for leveling will enable you to survive on the battlefield and allow you to farm and kill creeps quickly. In turn, you will be able to level up quickly and be able to finish quests easily for EXP and gold rewards.

Leveling builds for Jedi Knight Sentinel and Jedi Knight Guardian differ. So below, I have outlined the leveling builds for both classes that works quite well for every situation or scenario that you may encounter.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Sentinel Leveling/PVE Build

Keep in mind that these builds differ for each level/situation and also depends on your predilections towards Flashpoints, Warzones and Questing. Alright, now lets get into the leveling and PVE builds and spec for Jedi Knight Sentinel.

Watchman is currently the best leveling and PVE spec for the Jedi Knight Sentinel in my opinion. This skill tree allows you to do a lot of damage, while allowing you to have a lot of sustainability as well on the battlefield.

Focus on putting points into talents that reduce cool down, increase your damage output and increase critical chance. This will allow your Jedi Knight Sentinel to have as much DPS as possible allowing you to kill creep waves quickly and easily.

The skill tree that I would recommend at level 30 for leveling and PVE spec would be 21/0/0. Here is the link of my skill tree for my Jedi Knight Sentinel leveling and PVE build.

SWTOR Jedi Knight Guardian Leveling/PVE Build

There are many arguments about the Jedi Knight Guardian leveling and PVE build. Some argue that the best leveling and PVE build for Guardian is to focus on DPS talents and Viligence spec, then respec'ing at level 30 to go full tank build. While others argue that leveling with pure defense talents also works.

So depending on your play style, you would most likely have to modify or do a hybrid talent tree to best suit how quickly you would like to level up and gain EXP vs defense abilities. For the leveling build that I created for my Jedi Guardian until level 30, I went with 0/11/0.

The reason for this was because I like to kill creeps fast and control groups of enemies more easily. However, once I reached level 30, I respec'ed and went pure tank build for PVP after. Here is the skill tree that I built for my Jedi Guardian that worked very well for me.
